St Kilda Scandal - 17 year girl - Kim Isabella Duthie - Riewoldt Nude Photo Scandal - Media Circus

She has caused controversy with Nick Riewoldt. And now the 17-year-old has again caused uproar with Ricky Nixon.

Her real name is Kimberley Isabella Duthie, or just Kim Duthie. As a minor, her name cannot be mentioned in the media.

She portrays herself as a victim. But she has done more damage to the AFL and the players than any other other scandal. She is cunning, and is playing a very dangerous game by attracting publicity through the media.

She thinks this is a game. She is refusing to seek professional counselling. She thinks it is all under control. She believes that after a few years, all the saga will be forgotten about and she will be able to live her life as though nothing has happened.

After it all dies down, what will this attention seeking girl do? Nobody will care about her tweets. People will no longer seek to be her 'friend' on facebook. Her story can only be sold once, maybe twice. But after that, she may struggle to resume a normal adult life.

She may be looking for short term gain. Her publicity stunts and willingness to be interviewed frequently by the media is satisfying her need for an attention fix. She comes across as a smart girl. But does she realise that after many years later she may regret what she did? Does she not think that by kicking up a fuss and being a drama queen may end up putting a black mark (or at the very least a 'stubborn' stain) on her personal history, resume and CV? Is she stubbornly diving head first into affairs she is not yet ready (or mature enough) to handle?

The media (and herself) should strongly follow the advice of adolecent psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Greg. The media are making a circus show of her. Even though the girl refuses help, her immediate family should be provided all the support they deserve.

The St Kilda club will always live on. Kim Duthie will be forgotten about. She needs to stop this attention seeking behaviour and seek professional help. She needs to understand that when (children's) court action is pending, she needs to be careful in her actions.
